Der Rugged Industrial Switch RS940G wurde entwickelt um in rauen Industrieumgebungen zuverlässig zu arbeiten. Dieser Rugged Industrial Layer 2 Switch zeichnet sich besonders durch seine hohe Unempfindlichkeit gegenüber elektromagnetischen Störfeldern und anderen typischen Umgebungsspanungen aus. Der RS940G zeigt seine Stärken bei der Nutzung in elektrischen Versorgungsstationen in der Prozesssteuerung in sehr schwierigen Umgebungssituationen. Aber dieser Rugged Switch ist auch zur Steuerung von Verkehrssteuerschränken an der Bordsteinkante bestens geeignet.
Der Rugged Industrial Layer 2 Switch RS940G arbeitet in einem Betriebstemperaturbereich von -40 ° C
bis + 85 ° C störungsfrei und zuverlässig. Der RS940G wird in Verbindung mit einer Ex-Zertifizierung, optional unlackiert und einem verzinkten Stahlblechgehäuse geliefert und kann so nahezu an jedem gewünschten Ort eingesetzt werden.

Das Embedded Rugged Operating System (ROS) bietet zudem erweiterte Netzwerkfunktionen wie den Enhanced Rapid Spanning Baum (eRSTPTM) und eine vollständige Palette von intelligenten Funktionalitäten für hohe Netzwerkverfügbarkeit und ein bequemes Handling für die Administration. So ist es möglich den Rugged Industrial Switch RS940G in einer Vielzahl von Anwendungen zu einzusetzen.
Eine weitere Ausstattungsoption sind zwei LWL-Gigabit Ethernet-Ports z.B. für die Schaffung einer Glasfaser-Backbone mit qualitativ hochwertiger Störfestigkeit und optimaler Konnektivität auf der Langstrecke.
Kombiniert mit dem robusten Hardware-Design, ist dieser Rugged Industrial Switch RS940G ideal für Echtzeit-Steueranwendungen geeignet, bei denen es um hohe Zuverlässigkeit und Verfügbarkeit geht.
